This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
