In a surprising partnership that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Material
Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

This update also introduces the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma."
