Week 10 again delivered, with a major surprise for the Buffalo Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' saying that draws so many fans into the National Football League

That result may have opened opportunities for the New England Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that provides them an edge over their 8-2 rivals

Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the MVP award

Analysis - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Was Josh Allen try too much or could it simply have been a poor performance for the Bills?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or a deeper issue? This remains the question for the Bills to answer

The Buffalo squad had won seven in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Dolphins ran out 30-13 victors in an eye-opening outcome - and display

MVP Josh Allen only achieved the squad's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the final quarter - admittedly Miami had ten days to get ready but it was still a massive egg laid by one of the league's best offenses

Tua Tagovailoa passed for two scores but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 total yards and two scores

Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was also key, with James Cook and teammates recording just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and slightly more than half their 161.5-yard season average

Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An pass caught by defense in the scoring area meaning a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his final quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins converted to seven points just two plays

It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Allen trying to overcompensate to dig his team out of it - not the composed, disciplined, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season

Miami have demonstrated a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on if this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the summit of the AFC East

In Focus - New England Identify Route to Surprise Top Seed

Speaking of the New England, they're among three 8-2 teams in the league, all American Football Conference sides, but are they the best?

You can pick holes in New England, Denver and Indianapolis really for feasting on the lesser sides, with only five of their combined twenty-four wins achieved against teams with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis beating the Denver

The Broncos beat the champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indy can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's win in Tampa to their prime time success in Orchard Park seems like a declaration

Their pair of losses came in new head coach Mike Vrabel's first three contests, with seven straight victories, just like the Broncos, from that point - but defeating Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to prepare was significant

Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he definitely earns point for courage after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to steer his side to success

The defense is reliable and first-year running back Henderson exploded on Sunday with 147 yards and two exciting touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth different runner to break 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

Although you can debate who 'the best' is technically, the Patriots should be favorites to end with the best record due to their schedule - which features just a single matchup against a winning team, although a huge one against the Bills

Visiting Baltimore is challenging too, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also compete for first place but face the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also play the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two matchups with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There is a long way to go but the door is available for a shock number one position in the AFC

Next Week - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Next Week Clash

Both squads with solid claims to be better than all of the three different eight and two sides are National Football Conference West opponents the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each scored forty points to reach 7-2 ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

They've both won four in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defensive units allowing fewer than twenty points a contest

Each could realistically be undefeated as well - especially the Rams as their pair of losses came in overtime against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning kick with the final play deflected and returned by the Eagles for a touchdown

The Seahawks also lost to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in the opening week, before falling to the last kick of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they are truly two of the top teams in the NFL

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season so far

Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor could be on for a record season after his incredible display in Germany - running for 244 yards, scoring three scores and contributing an additional 42 {receiving yards
