Passionate followers of the pop star are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was due to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Well-being

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further message on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be released on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning film of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, winning a pair for excellent wardrobe and production design.
