LA Erupts in Jubilation as Los Angeles Dodgers Claim Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.
The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations began well before the procession, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the win.
“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto said. “I love the Dodgers. This city means everything to me.”
Varied Responses and Community Spirit
However, the team owner received a less warm reception at the rally. Recordings from the gathering appear to show Walter walking onstage to a combination of applause and boos, with jeers interrupting his address.
The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.
